>At least /a/ has moderation
Why would anyone want moderation that enforces a status quo of 30 weekly shonen jump threads and 50 permanent ritual posting threads? It's would be better to have no moderation at all at that point, as least there's a tiny chance something valuable might pop out of the vortex of chaos rather than a tiny, stagnant, and rapidly shrinking pool of the worst and most regressively cringe anime community on the internet. I don't want to discuss anime I already watched 20 years ago. I don't want to pretend an anime where the director decided to put a scanline filter over every single episode in the season to make it "feel nostalgic" is a masterpiece. It's a retarded board for people who are superficially interested in the medium at best and the only form of "gatekeeping" going on is a clique-ish purging of the old guard to lower standards to rock bottom and create a retarded time capsule where they can pretend to hide from the world around them while simultaneously bitching about MAL every day. It's slop. The whole board is just slop. By pretending to not be slop, it becomes something even worse than slop. It's ultra super mega slop.
