It has the same exact meaning across all gacha games, has caught on a little bit in any game where you select your characters gender, and it exists in pol, but has a different meaning there. I've also seen a few screenshots of it being used on Twitter and Reddit in the same way we use it here, but I don't know if it's commonly used in those places.
