How hard is it to follow the most basic bitch character development like this one? Miko has stated from the start that the only thing she cared about was getting Mayu's back, the fate of herself, the other contestants and humanity as a whole didn't concern her which is why her sanity score never dropped no matter how many horrors she had to witness or experience. This was because everyone in her life except Mayu had always treated her like garbage. Kanna and Kei however have been nothing but supportive to her (sensei too, but she has her weird hangups about him) so her sanity finally drops as she sees them all sacrificing themselves for her and she realizes there is more worth fighting for than just Mayu. This comes with the irony that she's being even more selfish because she had already won and was going to get Mayu back, the Old Gods would leave and humanity would be saved, but she accepted putting all of humanity at stake just for the chance to save her new friends too. It's not out of character, it's her way to get back at the world for mistreating her by affirming her own will and getting everything she wants.

Holy based, she's going to get tons of hate online and possibly irl forever though.
