I must confess that i'm only a Flamengo twister because of Globo: i'm from Pará and inherited twisting for Flamengo from my father, but he didn't inherited it from his father, so i conclude thag he decided to do it upon watching Flamengo at Globo in the 80's. My brother on the other hand, simply decided at the age of 7 that he would twist for Palmeiras out of nowhere, without any outside influence, and he's now 35 and still fanatical, and it makes me wonder how many people just decided to love a seemingly random team out of nowhere.
