Something I think about a lot is that in the first one, OCP is terrible, but not actually evil. The movie draws a very intentional contrast that every other executive is callous, greedy, immature, shortsighted and just a bit incompetent but all of them, right up to the CEO, are mentally and morally unprepared for the kind of absolute fucking monster Dick Jones is. That in fact Jones finds no kinship in the boardroom - the only person he ever meets that's truly like him is Clarence Boddicker.
Like the whole place is a bunch of Paul Allens that just had Patrick Bateman walk in on them and had no idea what they were looking at

I wonder why this aspect is abandoned in every other installment and the entire executive suite are just willful murderers
