Every time it seems like life might actually start or something good might finally happen, it feels like I'm punished for the audacity of having hope. If something radical doesn't happen to change things, life itself seems to be a failed experiment. Perhaps sentient life cannot survive affluence, the second material restraints lessen and immediate consequences of bad behavior get deferred it's just an orgy of exploitation of the haves vs the have nots, most notably elders exploiting the young (national debts, housing markets, etc) and women mass abusing and exploiting men (feminism, simping culture). Dignity itself has become a scarce resource and it feels like every demographic cohort that should be my ally is my greatest enemy.
I can't rule out this world is a layer of Hell and the eternal return is us just coming back hoping for something different based on lies about a past that never actually existed. "Hell is other people".
