You have to be either extremely unlucky with a flawed batch or pretty retarded to cause the power connector to melt on that 5080 (360W Stock, 390W maximum). It has enough safety margin.

Even the RTX 6000 Pro Blackwell Server PCIe card is spec'd to draw 600W from that connector.
