Oh, yeah, I remember her being disliked a little back then, but I don't think Japanese fans ever disliked her all that much. It took a couple of games for her character to develop and actually gain memorable traits, since back in MoF her main (fan) characterization was "Reimu, but she's green and nicer", and that was it.
