I like attractive skyscrapers. It's sad to see all that effort and technology going to build something hideous like the OP or pic rel that blemishes the skyline for miles around.
This is why America is the only country with really good skylines btw. Because they built most of the buildings back when good architecture was a thing. Now all buildings are ugly, so all these Asian and Euro countries are made up entirely of ugly postmodernist glass boxes.

They used to make attractive stone buildings. I'm sure attractive concrete ones wouldn't be much harder than ugly ones.
Yes materials and such is one thing. But they go to extra lengths to make these things ugly.
