I hate this "fan service" crap so much. I have access to an infinite supply of porn on the internet. I don't need fan service in my anime unless it furthers the plot in a significant way.
I first noticed it in Eden Zero (annoying), then High Rise Invasion (distracting), and finally Bastard!! (which was so annoying I quit after the 3rd or 4th episode). That's not even mentioning the ones that are 100% fan service and totally pointless (like Eiken).

In season 3 of Robotech (1984) there was a dude who dressed like a woman and sang songs. He had purple hair. I learned a very important lesson from that cartoon. Don't talk to "chicks" with purple hair.
Maybe that was the price they had to pay for breaking into the American market?
