Being a shadow entity, this direct hit harmed it, the only way it can defend itself or retaliate is by manifesting more fully in our Dimensional zone, but before it could wring the neck of that spook that burned it right in the dick, everyone was already screaming and running away from it.
It then just faded back out, and continued its nightwalk
