That's actually a pretty reasonable attempt at building a gyrocopter for someone who probably doesn't have access to any reference materials. I mean, there are perfectly functional gyrocopters that don't look much different than that, and unlike the western hobbyists who build them in their garages this guy isn't assembling a premade kit or following a set of plans he bought from an actual aeronautical engineer. If you took that exact same gyrocopter on that exact same dirt field, but used AI to change the background so it looks like it was taken at Burning Man or something and made the pilot a white guy in his 50s, you'd fully expect the video to end with it taking off. Even if it didn't, you could still imagine a follow-on youtube video from 8 months later entitled "My Homemade Gyrocopter Mk. II (IT WORKS!)" or some shit.
Give this guy a Lowe's gift card and a better engine and he'd get airborne. Let him walk away from a few crashes unharmed and he might be able to refine his design into something workable.
