That's getting extremely close to my hypothesis with an explanatory caveat to cause and effect of this thought experiment.

Assume advanced AIs in the future could run simulations of "reality" with quantum fluctuations added in. If one could manipulate the quantum to inject matter into the past, it is assumed there is a degree of mastery and prediction over the quantum in "base reality", I.E. "The Future's Present", then able to extrapolate into the past to understand what quantum states are what. The simulation would most likely be able to map out minute and obtuse perturbations to the past and map for the butterfly effect much faster than one Earth second per second: "Base reality of the past", and then deliver payloads to the past, to not make it strictly deterministic, but to the same effect of guardrails in AI today, deterministic guidance to an otherwise free-will Universe.

This creates pockets of applied determinism, a non-read only past, rather than a deterministic universe as a whole.
