https://gofile.io/d/lCoJiq started going down my list of things i wanna try experiment with. this took about 4 hours (half of which was arguing with chatgpt but i learned a lot). i get if you dont wanna download a random exe of 4chins but yeah heres a vid too, it plays a big alert sound when the slime spots the player with raycasts, and his sprite and collisionbox grows in scale (y position also adjusts so he stays on the ground properly) and he speeds up to chase you. this is the second time ive used godot since starting, first time i followed a tutorial so im pretty happy with this for a second day experimenting session. next up im gonna try to implement GOOMBA mechanics of jumping on his head to kill him, and then an enemy respawning mechanic
