Hunter's mark is fine, it's a spell. Favored terrain is what makes ranger unique and needs to make a big comeback. Deft exploorer and roving are good but they're so watered down.

The other thing the ranger needs is more utility spells. Paladins have smites, rangers have...a strange list of offensive spells. I won't deny that most are good or cool, but what a ranger needs to provide is support, and increasing their personal spell list is one of the easier ways to do so.
