The raids were good, the zones were good except tannan jungle, treasures were and interesting alternative way for leveling for a while.

I wouldn't say the only issues with wod was it's a massive raidlog expansion, garrisons are an issues, a lot of features being removed were an issue,that one patch that was essentially a twitter inclusion patch, which when musk took twitter and changed it to X blizzard had to then remove the feature making that wod patch maybe the most lack luster patch in the history the game.
The fact wod really did fuck over mop, by being delayed so long and that like you say they gave up half way.
The mission table system, the gold inflation.
WoD is an easy to dislike expansion for a lot of good reasons. I really think the only think I'd say I loved about WoD is i think it had the best PR of any expansion and some of the better music.

metzen loved wod, so much passion was poured into it, but it flopped, and it's probably the reason we don't get orc fuelled kino it was the last push the current people at blizzard needed to push out the old guard.
and that is metzens fault ultimately.
