Little brotip if you haven't already run into it: the cannoneers in the southwest can and will make their way north along the west hall and eventually be able to shoot Alear. It's good to take them out before they can get in range.

It has to be adjacent tile for the effect, unfortunately they didn't go with the 3-tile system here. They are useful enough that you should be trying to get the most out of them though. They are quintessential for doing the FX chapters, because most of your units will have 130~140 hit at best, and some of the dodgiest foes have 60-70 avoid.
