Didn’t even get into gachashit for the waifus. Tried Genshin at launch but dropped it pretty fast, didn’t really care. Only later I actually got hooked with Star Rail, and that’s when the slippery slope started. Came back to Genshin after 3 years, picked up ZZZ on launch too, and since then I haven’t missed a single daily login.
I still like the games but holy shit I don’t play anything else anymore. I only touch other games on vacations, and even then half the time I just grind through backlog quests instead. Feels like I’m chained by sunken cost and FOMO. Not even malding about it, just stuck in this weird limbo where I enjoy it but also feel trapped.
