Alex was never paid for Season 3 and they're forcing him to do more roles on fishtank to get that money released. S4/BG2 failed so he has to do his indentured servitude doing Magic stars

Thats not the reason, they're basically holding Alex, Burt, and Rachel hostage by not paying out their money from Season 3. They were being compelled into doing S4 and BG2 to get the past money and now both of those seasons are dead so they're forced to do this humiliation ritual on Magic Stars instead. Tay doesn't know whats going on behind the scenes and just thinks Jet is trying to make money not run a humiliation ritual.
