It couldn't have happened because SNK was literally dying to death back then. CotW is not only MotW 2 now, but also a way for SNK to gauge if people are still interested in their dead titles. Had it been a hit, we could have seen other entries back like a new Twinkle Star Sprites or even a new Athena. Posers like Max love to preach about a new Fatal Fury, yet he does nothing when SNK needed him, and when he gets his wish and SNK goes above and beyond to please him, he backstabs them for Resetera brownie points. I hope whatever they have planned with Chun and Season 2 can revive this game in the west so SNK can learn to never their trust fake fans. I know SNK is planning CVS3 and perhaps some other project, and with Saudis now owning Evo, Max will have to shill them again eventually, but he already lost their trust, and that's his loss and he deserves it.
