You can absolutely get your foot in the door, I knew a guy with a bachelor's in creative writing, he was a great technician and had no prior experience. There's a few "Starter" companies that you can apply to that will give you your opening. The pay wont be as good and you're mostly doing grunt work, but put your year in and you can move into better companies or settle down at a site. The job will age you as fast as you let it. If you learn to warmup and stretch, take a break and stretch, USE PROPER LIFTING TECHNIQUES AND DONT LIFT MORE THAN YOU SAFELY CAN, stay hydrated, and eat healthy food, you should be good for years. The guys that breakdown fast are the dudes that eat a gas station burrito and monster for breakfast, drink one bottle of water every 4 hours, and then get off work and drink beer and eat pizza pockets then stay up late and get shit sleep.
