And as far as the dragon bullshit, nothing in the character kits looked like the secret source devices that the dragons actual left behind. That stuff all looked cool and fit the aesthetic of the region and should have been better incorporated in the character designs and world at large, but instead we got random modern bullshit that was out of place everywhere. Ineffa's mech suit was the only time they did it right. Mavs bike should have been designed with similar direct cues.

wow look at that a futuristic mecha clearly based on Ineffa's design combined with elements taken from secret source tech so it makes sense in context and doesn't look jarringly out of place.
