Too many Romcoms treat basic affection as if it was some kind of reward like you are at the end of a season pass in a Gacha game and once you got it, it has to be earned again through various turmoils, is completely uncompatible with reality except for select, unhappy couple, is the equivalent of that western meme of the woman giving task to the husband to complete in exchange for sexual favors as if it was something enjoyable only for 1 party and an hassle for the other.

There are indeed people who, through trauma have trouble accepting affection or love from others, feel themselves unworthy, but I don't think this Manga is doing a good job at portraying what it means and how to face it.

These problems are not something you solve through an ephiphany
