Which leads me to believe this is a sort of Christian Samson Option. A weaker army will position itself with its back to a river to prevent a retreat. The Jews are looking to corner themselves with the Evangelicals so they will go down fighting before the Jews have to. It makes sense to fuel their egocentric view of Christ to extreme degrees so that all other denominations turn against them, as is happening now.
