family guy tries to be edgy and shocking with it's violence but it's mostly just lame and try hard

American dad for whatever reason has incredibly realistic looling gore which is genuinely shocking but handled in such a way it's an effective storytelling device as well as still being funny when done for laughs (or just incredibly silly shit like pic rel)
