I mean you say that but on every objective level the star that gives freely was giving its gifts and doing its work for eons before jesus or any mention or idea of the possibility of Christianity existed. One thing came before the other, and 1 of those options does what it does reliably every single day of our existence without any need for any kind of spiritual blackmail whatsoever. Why would you go so far as to make up something when real divinity is right in front of you every single day?
