Hi anon, thanks for your question!
I've been thinking about their roots, there is a spiritual factor but also mental illness shouldn't be ruled out. I believe in the spiritual world and messages from the divine (or demons) but the only thing that makes me think they're not all the noises of my brain is the feedback I get, even though the form they talk isn't direct and forces the querent to think hard and maybe project or use something sort of confirmation bias to make what is said fit, you know?

>when did the voice appear?
It came after I had developed scrying abilities through someone training me but I already had short visions prior that.

The first time I recall hearing something was during a wife reading to a friend and I heard the word "brick" years ago. There were occasions during tarot readings, random words would pop up but I ignored them thinking it was just my brain on overdrive.

>do they feel part of you or different?
Both, like it comes from my own mind but they sound different. A female voice, an old man, a child, a group, emotions etc. It feels like trying to grasp a full conversation in a busy restaurant.

There are some repeating pattern and energies such as a lady that when she speaks, I fall half conscious, I feel and hear what she's saying but I have no control of what's said but if I "push" hard I can take the wheel back and I was told that could be DID. I don't remember if I ever heard anything from outside.

>is it like hereditary in your family?
I cannot say because I'm adopted, but mom and dad used to see and hear spirits and they were cool with me doing div, so I believe it was more of a soul resonance than a genetic trait.

I cannot overrule bio, I've been struggling with mental health for a long time and jokes aside, I do have a predisposition for Schizophrenia and I believe some bad stuff happening during my pregnancy. I'm scared of having babies, I believe I'd pass along my bad genes and curse them. So I'll never know.
