It's so sad the thread for PPD 20th anniversary died with only 10 replies. We gotta wait to Cinco de Maho...
Fun fact: Pani Poni Dash! and Negima!? were the most best-selling Shaft anime at the time, with little over 8500 copies each, before Monogatari broke records. That is, if we exclude Mahoromatic anime that Shaft co-produced with Gainax. The only Shaft anime that got close to PPD's and Negima's sales were the original SZS (7078 copies) and Hidamari x365 (8121 copies).
