i honestly can’t defend kpop anymore, it’s turning into straight-up kpoop.

it’s not even “sampling” when you just lift sean kingston’s hook and use it as your own hook
that’s not homage, that’s just lazy and creatively bankrupt

if you’re going to sample, at least dig into something from the 1940s or some older, forgotten gem, not a hit from 2010

right now, jpop deserves the world compared to this current era of kpop, an era that feels like nothing but shitty, lazy, uninspired westernized slop
