Saint Augustine will be your starting point. Read Confessions which details his struggles against youthful sin. He, too, was tempted by wanton desires for pleasure from the female form and his struggle against Manichaeism. Specifically, Book 2 for his indulgences in lustful pleasures. You can read it online for free from New Advent. Secondly, recognize that almost everyone in this thread has been shown the Light of God, and has turned their back against Him. Give no more than two rebukes, then do nothing with them. They wish to take your faith through words and deceptions. There is a reason why they have to hide in the dredges and darkest corners of society, while you have the pleasure of walking into God's house and declaring your love for Him. Thirdly, support your Christian brothers and sisters wherever they might be in the routing of evil, but do not fall into an insidious ensnarement designed to frustrate you. They would love nothing more than to endlessly debate and question your faith. Cast them and their insidious temptations they present as 'answers' to the wayside. Finally, the greatest temptation of all is not wealth, sex, wrath, it is knowledge, that insatiable hunger that demands you to know something, understand something. Let it go, place your understanding with God, and He shall reveal what is necessary to you. Seeking answers in the 'occult' is what ruined these people and made them slaves to these demons. Better to remain ignorant and pious, rather than knowledgeable and damned.

As for 'God' not having 'power' over these 'spirits'. You only have to look at their behavior. They pride themselves on Lust, yet nothing but contemptuous Envy drives their disdainful and vitriolic hatred. For they are weak and serve only the Enemy, cast out from the glory of God's Kingdom, while you have the chance to reenter it. That is one of the facts that torments these demons so much, they will never be granted forgiveness, while you can be.
