It's both roughly the same size and comparable weight. I was recently considering upgrading from my old A6000, because it does not have IBIS, the autofocus is kind of dated and there aren't any of the modern connectivity features. (I don't like fidgeting with cables and SD card readers.)
>go to the store
>lift the A6700
>it feels like holding a brick compared to my A6000
>remove the lens
>still heavy
>see the A7C2 next to it
>almost the same size, almost the same weight
>bought the A7C2 a day later
Unless you're running longer zooms while also trying to be compact or shoot video, there's almost no upside to the A6700. It's somewhat cheaper too, I guess, but if you're already spending that much money and carrying that much weight, you may as well go FF. So I did. Very happy with the switch.
Really impressed with the IBIS. I can handhold 1s exposures at night, get light trails or washed out people, and still have sharpness on static objects.
