Don’t remind me of the selfish jackass who would dump it online
The guy has been approached by several reputable preservation groups such as Forest of Illusion but refuses to dump it.
The cherry on top is that the owner of one of the preservation groups offered to send him dumping equipment free of charge so he could at least create a private digital backup before bit rot destroys the data and he still refused. It's been 2 years now, so most lost media/preservation groups have given up.
Yeah, part of the reason the series never really took off outside Japan was Nintendo's total mishandling of it.
>thinks game with cute girl fairies won't sell
>replace characters with Yoshi's Island cast
>yet rename the game to Tetris Attack despite Tetris having absolutely nothing to do with the game and also make sure to not call out the Yoshi characters on the front of the box
>a few years later rebrand it again as Pokemon Puzzle League and Pokemon Puzzle Challenge for the N64 and GBC
>a few years after that remove all the Pokemon characters, strip it bare and just call it Puzzle League and bundle it with a Dr. Mario port and barely advertise it
>then finally release it as Puzzle League DS with absolutely no soul involved at all as it's all sterile "hi tech" themed, even going out of the way to remove the retro Lip stage that's in the JP version
>pretend the series never existed since then.
