>eventually decide to open it up and clean it out to see if that fixes it
>opening voids the 3 year warranty that covers rrod or similar issues
>clean it and turn back on
>get 1 red light and E74 turning it on
>no warranty anymore because I opened it
>have to use towel trick to play it
>eventually graphics will get scrambled and when that happens turning it off will give the error again
>disc drive still has the same problems
Eventually I just bought a new one because I got tired of being stuck playing retards on xbla Doom that would just quit when they were losing deathmatch since I got sick of messing with the disc drive to play other games and using a towel to even turn it on. That one got RROD because of a power surge when it wasn't even turned on but I sent that one in to get fixed. Still have it but the drive on that one sometimes needs pried open but at least it always reads the fucking discs.
