>The Russian breakthrough, which posed a threat to the fall of Pokrovsk and complicated logistics for other directions, was eliminated very quickly. To block the breakthrough, Ukrainian forces were concentrated in time, since a delay of even a few more days would have allowed the Russians to strengthen their positions in the area, which could have condemned Pokrovsk to the fate of Avdiivka and Bakhmut — encirclement from the flanks, complicating logistics and ultimately leading to the loss of the city.
▪ It is important to note the actions of multiple units — not only the National Guard’s “Azov I Corps,” but also the 93rd Mechanized Brigade, the 1st, 210th, 425th Assault Regiments, and the 82nd Air Assault Brigade.
▪ More than 110,000 Russians are concentrated in the Pokrovsk direction, and it is expected that their number will increase further in the near future. The situation remains difficult. However, no one intends to “surrender” the city without a fight — despite the Russians’ energetic push on the “diplomatic front.”
