Yeah, I think I place a large blame on the game itself being incredibly vague about its systems for that. The equip effect weapons don't tell you how much they buff by, same with a few of the amulets and equipable skills. It's a shame, because you just end up being forced to look it up if you want/need to optimize.

I don't think so. after beating the superboss with nuts, I reloaded a save and I beat the boss without nuts or any of the items in >>724015887. My strategy wasn't too specific or special, but I did use leaves for hired help. And yeah, I don't doubt what >>724015637 says. There are definitely people that have done that fight way faster and better than me.
