Neat thread. I really need to get /out/, panning again. Ironically, the best spot close to me is in the city of which I moved out a while ago. But I really gotta test all the tributaries to my main stream. While none of them are “officially” gold bearing, they all got various lead-zinc ores, some even mined not that long ago, in their hill sides, and they always tend to have some Au as a side mineral.
