True heart:
Hebrews 10:22 (KJV) – “Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.”
The idea: sincerity before God, unmasked intent.
Pure heart:
Matthew 5:8 – “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”
A straightforward statement: perception of God comes through inner clarity, not intellect.
Psalm 24:3–4 – “Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.”
Purity tied to honesty and humility, not ritual.
Psalm 51:10 – “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.”
David’s reset prayer after moral failure — purification as renewal, not punishment.
1 Timothy 1:5 – “Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned.”
Moral law distilled into love, clarity, and authenticity.
2 Timothy 2:22 – “Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.”
Purity as fellowship, not isolation.
1 Peter 1:22 – “Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently.”
Purity linked to relational sincerity.
