I'll suggest Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell. I feel it's about time /m/ the team gets a rep from this series considering we're getting a new anime sometime next year that will FINALLY use the character designs and story from the source material.
If you want a more 'mecha' suggestion then Tachikoma of Fuchikoma would be a good rep for the series as well.
