I was really fascinated by columbine when I was in highschool. watched every single documentary ever made on them, rewatched the really good one at least 3 or 4 times. Read all the transcripts, newspapers, found some obscure websites that still update to this day on all documentation regarding them. It actually wasnt that long ago I deleted my Columbine folder filled with images and gifs of them. They truly did ascend. Their existence feels like an encapsulation of their reality, a memory that feels as though it was always meant to happen, two individuals that were inevitable, the living action of the passing "what if" present in many. They were free. Two troubled kids, for the briefest moment in time, freed themselves from the constraints of their very reality. They untethered themselves from All in order to be Free. Could you imagine? Being among the first, being effectively unimpeded, free to load up and actualize a level of Doom, to cover all that you have ever known in a sheet of blood simply because you willed it so? In that moment, they were Gods, just as they wished to be. Now they are dead, the final cells of their lifeless corpses finally rotted out while Chad and nearly every other would-be victim relax in their retirement homes, happy and content with Life, as they lived it. Hm.
