The west was leading the AI revolution throughout 2023-2024. However, the newest models by Meta and OpenAI were massive flops.
2025 was the year of China. They released several models on par with the best large western models, and among small to medium models that you can run on your own PC, Chinese models are way better. Asia caught up big time.
