Doomguy/ Doomslayer is someone who kills demons. Demons do not have physical bodies, they're spiritual entities. Humans cannot kill a spiritual entity, therefore Doomguy is an angel fighting demons. The game Doom is about roleplaying as an angel who confronts evil.
