All of those are good things to love about neps
I don't know what it is, considering I haven't touched the games in years, but something about neps is very endearing I guess

It doesn't necessarily need to be every other picture, but alternating between them will certainly get more eyes on your original stuff, yeah. How much you do of each depends on what your goals are, what motivates you, and how susceptible you are to audience capture/becoming dependent on attention/trend chasing/etc. Of course, if you're also interested in what's popular, then you get to enjoy drawing that while also getting noticed, and you're less likely to get burnt out that way. I do find it helps to maintain some original stuff you can own and keep coming back to long term, as that will outlive all of the trends. Like I said, it's a balancing act.

It hasn't really grabbed my interest, though I did draw Hishi Akebono a few years ago after some promotional twitter video clip showed her being gigantic. And I'm aware of at least one in-game story with size content too.For what it's worth, I drew plenty of horse girls back when MLP was popular
On the topic of Neptune's hair color, it does feel like it's more pink in some pictures and more purple in others, even in official art. It might be more of a warm vs cool lighting/shading situation rather than the base color itself though, and/or maybe it "feels" more pink in comparison to Purple Heart's decidedly much more violet hair (or Plutia's, for that matter). Neptune and Nepgear have the same hair color normally, but Nepgear's turns more pink/magenta-ish when she HDDs, so if you're going from memory, you might also get some wires crossed that way too.
