Sorry dude but the reality is that this country is fucked on so many different levels it's not even funny. Even if we somehow were to overthrow Maduro, all it'd do is create a power vacuum that would most likely be filled by another hardcore communist from the fucking military forces. There is no real opposition to the current socialist government in the country because they're all just slightly different kinds of leftists (so-called social democrats vs old school soviet style communists which are the ones in power at the moment).

As long as Chevron has full permission to exploit the country's resources, nothing is actually gonna happen because they'll be actively lobbying against any potential war between the US and Venezuela. They need all the necessary machinery, equipment and infrastructure to keep making massive amounts of profits.

Unironically the best thing that could happen for both countries is to simply maintain the status quo. The US keeps receiving oil for a cheap price while Maduro stays in power until the day he dies, just like his predecessor.
