Damn, that got rambly, didn't it?

The art of good permaberry stories, to me, is figuring out all those logistics. What DO you do with her? What can she do? How does she doing it? How is she going to be cared after for the rest of her life? How has she changed beyond the physicalities of her transformation? Does she have any goals to strive for or character journeys to embark on? If there are good answers for those things, there can be grounds for a more engaging story that's deeper than "girl turns into/is blueberry forever." Those that can't usually don't have anything beyond just the superficial sex appeal (even if they do have their carnal allure).

The other more common option which can still work is when her transformation into a blueberry serves as cathartic resolution for some other drama in the story, where the conflict is either resolved or she doesn't have to deal with it anymore, and her life from then on out as a blueberry being taken care of by someone is her "happily ever after." I read one such story recently that did this fantastically, called "A Filcher's Berry Fertile Freshening" by ThatStuffWrites. If you don't mind porn with plot, multiple ancillary and unconventional fusions of fetishes, and reading almost FORTY THOUSAND WORDS, the build up, the succulent details of her transformation, and the reconciliation between her old and new lives is exquisite. Sure, the destination is a given, but like with the masterpiece 1971 film, or any good story for that matter, the payoffs are only as good as their build ups. It really is more about the journey than the destination.

I've seen stories where a permaberry gets interned in some facility, like property, though all the ones I can recall presently fall into the later category of having nothing to do after her imprisonment is established, even if her transformation and becoming a prisoner of pleasure is hot.

I've seen VerucaXViolet noncon shipping before too... eh, not really my thing.
