If you check X you'll see posts that have hundreds of thousands of likes and they always say

"sure thing, Jew hater"

"are you a Jew hater? condemn Hamas"

"why not just say you're a Jew hater and be done with it"

Since a lot of people now know that the Palestinians are also mostly Semites, the term does not carry the same weight as before in terms of a defence mechanism for Jews. And so a new term was needed to shield the Jews from criticism. This new term is "Jew hater" and even right-wingers, MAGA and patriot types have adopted it and now go around calling everyone Jew haters.
