This all stems from a lack of affordable healthcare. If these people had #1: a strong male figure in their life, or #2 access to a psychiatrist, they would have someone to talk to and explain what fucking puberty is, that their brain will keep forming well into their twenties, and that what they are experiencing right now is only temporary.
