Q: Why can some NPC costumes be made into separate parts, while others can only be made into jumpsuits? I thought the new Alphinaud and the new Alisae could be separated into separate parts, but it turns out they are both jumpsuits?

Hayashi: Many NPC gear pieces were designed from the outset to be non-separable. This allows us to create more distinctive designs for them that players can't use. If these designs were to be made into player gear, the finished product would likely be significantly different from the original design if they were to be separated. To avoid visual differences between the gear worn by your character and your favorite NPC, we made this gear one-piece.

Q: Some mounts scale with the character's size, while others are fixed in size. What's the standard for determining whether a mount's size will change when creating it? And how do you determine the extent of the change?

Hayashi: When designing mounts, we have a basic rule: the size of biological mounts will change with the size of the character's race, but mechanical mounts will not.
However, there are exceptions. For example, if the size of a mechanical mount is fixed, there may be situations where a Lalafell cannot reach the handle, or a Roegadyn's body may pass through the seat. In this case, the size will still be adjusted.
