Rune Factory 4 & 5 played a little bit with dual colors, where the hair would taper into a different color towards the ends. In 4 though this wasn't represented in the actual in-game sprites.

Unfortunately a lot of artists are now posting the bulk of their work on twitter, which is terrible for cataloging and finding shit. You have to know how to work the system a bit. Typically, pixiv and various boorus only get a fraction of the stuff that appears on twitter. If not for twitter, I'd have maybe less than half of what I currently have in my folder. It might be different for other characters, but that's my experience.
