I don't think it would have changed much considering that the arc is somewhat well liked aside from Naruto not getting to do much besides chimp out over a corpse and hog all the credit because he punched the edgy out of Gaara 3 years before, and Team Guy being stuck fighting clones offscreen on what was the second to last time they would get any focus for the rest of the series.
