The Bolsheviks were neither Pro- nor Anti-Russian per se.
>their subgroups
Among them were fundamentalists who sought to convert everyone to Marxism (or else) and manifest its prophecies regardless of how it affected Russia, revanchists who wanted to get back at the Tsardom and its nobles who oppressed and exploited them, dirt-poor egoists who wanted to eat the rich and their sympathizers who wanted to feed the poor no matter how, and, yes, Yiddish supremacists like Trotsky who took the opportunity to usurp/enslave/abuse a European country and brainwash the World with a new slave religion.
>their policies
On one hand, they took good care of Russian Marxists and saved Russia from a German supremacist takeover, but on the other they killed millions of Russian Christians and sacrificed millions of Russians to consolidate, defend, and expand a totalitarian religious empire that was and did many of the things it explicitly condemned.
